Lennox acquires contractor AES 

USA: Lennox has completed the acquisition of AES, an HVAC and refrigeration company based in Tallassee, Alabama, dedicated to service and sustainability in the light commercial market.

AES provides installations services, adapter curbs, and reclaim services. It will become part of the Lennox Commercial Business Segment and enable the delivery of “front-to-back” life-cycle integrated services to AES and Lennox customers.

Founded in 1988, AES Industries has become one of largest manufacturers of roof curbs and drop box diffuser systems in the US. It boasts four manufacturing facilities in Reno (Nevada), Wheeling (West Virginia), Weatherford (Texas) and Tallassee (Alabama).

AES Industries has recently expanded its capabilities by adding EPA-documented HVAC recycling at each centre. AES Reclaim provides HVAC and refrigeration planned replacement programmes the ability to reclaim assets through recycling their end of life equipment.

“AES represents a strong strategic and cultural fit for the Lennox commercial segment and is consistent with our growth strategy,” said Lennox EVP and president of the commercial heating and cooling business Joe Nassab. “By adding AES’s services to our already strong portfolio, we have positioned our business to grow through providing our customers with more capabilities.”

AES president Jason Benton will join the Lennox commercial business segment in a leadership role and will continue to lead the AES business and team of approximately 280 associates.
