LG signs major US data centre cooling deal
7th October 2026
USA: LG Electronics has signed a major multi-year deal with AIR Control Concepts to supply chillers with more than 5GW of capacity for data centres in the US and Canada.
Based in Norfolk, Virginia, AIR Control Concepts (AIR) oversees mega-scale infrastructure projects across major North American data centre hubs, serving leading global data centre operators as key customers.
LG’s air-cooled centrifugal chillers for AI data centres use R513A refrigerant and free-cooling to lower the compressor cooling load.
Moving beyond single-project bids, LG says that the agreement establishes it as a core infrastructure partner supporting the growth of AI data centres in North America.
Building on recent successes in supplying cooling solutions to hyperscale AI data centres in North America, LG is also expanding its global footprint with key data centre projects in the Middle East and Indonesia.
LG recently revealed that orders for data centre cooling solutions in the first-half of this exceeded $428m, with the company expecting orders to reach several billion dollars by year-end.
