Mikaila Ganado named AIRAH president
5th June 2024AUSTRALIA: HVACR consultant Mikaila Ganado has been named president of AIRAH, the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating.
Ganado, a part-owner and partner of Sydney-based GWA Consultants Australia, assumes the institute’s presidency from Paul Jackson, who leaves the position he has held since 2021.
She takes the reins on the back of 15 years as an HVACR consultant, during which time she has worked on some of Sydney’s most iconic buildings.
Having served on the AIRAH board since 2020, Ganado is also associate director of the Women of AIRAH special technical group and a member of AIRAH’s NSW division committee.
The AIRAH’s annual general meeting at the end of last week saw Jackson, the associate director of Engineering Commissioning Services and Ura Sarfejoo of Johnson Controls depart from the board after serving their respective tenures.
Joining Ganado on the board are incoming directors Alan Fok of property investment management company Charter Hall and Chris Bong, a Technical and Further Education lecturer.
