Nordic Climate acquires Dutch firm Climanova

SWEDEN/NETHERLANDS: The Nordic Climate Group has continued its expansion with the acquisition of Climanova, a company offering cooling, climate control, and heating solutions with bases in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Founded in 1987 Climanova has approximately 45 employees and a turnover of around €13m. It has offices in Eede in the southwestern province of Zeeland and in Ghent.

The company is described as holding a strong position in the industrial segment (81% of turnover), with additional clients in commercial real estate and the agro and food industry.

Commenting on the addition of Climanova, Erik Snijders, Nordic Climate Group’s CEO in the Netherlands, said: “They have a strong local brand with long industry experience, cutting-edge technical expertise in our core areas, and primarily work with installations using the natural refrigerants CO2 and propane. This acquisition strengthens our presence in the southwest Netherlands and marks the first step on in Belgium markets where Climanova also has a strong foundation.”
