Panasonic to launch R32 heat pump
30th August 2015DENMARK: Panasonic is to launch an R32 air-to-air heat pump in the Nordic region next month.
According to Panasonic, the new version of its HZ9RKE model, one of the best-selling units in the Nordic countries, has the highest SCOP, A +++ energy rating and is the quietest available on the Nordic market. With Panasonic’s inverter technology, the new heat pump will ensure the highest efficiency even at -35°C.
While Daikin has led the way in adopting the “mildly flammable” lower GWP refrigerant in small air conditioners, other big name manufacturers are not far behind. Panasonic is just one of those known to be developing units for R32. Others include Fujitsu, Hitachi, Airwell, Mitsubishi Electric and Mitsubishi Heavy.
“Our new flagship model is now the most energy efficient in the Nordic market,” said Tomas Bærholm, Panasonic Heating and Cooling Denmark. “There is really big money to be saved by installing it instead of older heat pumps or other expensive heating systems, such as electric heaters. It has a very low power level indoor units at only 18dB.”
