Passenger found carrying R22

ITALY: Customs officers in Palermo arrested a passenger on a ferry from Tunisia who was found to be carrying a non-refillable cylinder of the banned ozone-depleting refrigerant R22.
As part of cargo checks on passengers from Tunisia, Palermo customs officials, in collaboration with the Guardia di Finanza, seized a foreign national resident of Italy found to have concealed the cylinder of R22 in the boot of his car.
The cylinder was seized and and the traveller reported to the judicial authorities.
