Ricardo Freitas to become new Advansor MD
11th May 2026
DENMARK: Ricardo Freitas is to join CO2 refrigeration systems manufacturer Advansor as managing director next month.
Freitas will take over from Kristian Breitenbauch who revealed that he will be leaving Advansor “to pursue new challenges” as group CEO in a non-competing company. He originally joined Advansor in 2018 after previous management roles at Scanenergi and Danfoss.
With more than 30 years of global industrial manufacturing experience within the refrigeration and HVAC industry, Freitas was most recently VP and general manager, CO₂ at Energy Recovery Inc, an American manufacturer of energy recovery devices for the water industry.
He previously spent 13 years at Lennox International, initially as director of operations in Brazil and, latterly, as VP and general manager based in Lyon, France. Prior to that he was 15 years at Carrier in Brazil.
Advansor says that in his new role Freitas will collaborate closely with the leadership team to drive continued growth across Europe and LATAM, while ensuring a high level of customer support and reliability.
He will join in early June, with a transition period alongside Kristian Breitenbauch.
