BELGIUM: Swegon’s director of future solutions & public affairs Mikael Börjesson has been elected as the new president of Eurovent, the European association of HVACR manufacturers.

Börjesson succeeds outgoing president Raul Corredera Haener, who has completed two consecutive three-year terms. The announcement was made during the association’s 70th AGM held today.

Active in the HVACR industry since the early 1990s, Börjesson has worked for Swegon since 2000 and has held a variety of technical, strategic, and leadership roles focused on building automation, ventilation, sustainability, and competence development.

He has been a longstanding member of the Eurovent board of directors and is currently chairman of the board at Eurovent Certita Certification.

The annual meeting also saw the election to the board of Systemair Spain director Rafael Moral Gant, and Benoit Viard, Carrier’s director of operational marketing, communication and brands.
