Tefcold buys Belgian firm TopCold

DENMARK: Tefcold, the Danish commercial refrigeration and freezing equipment company, has acquired the Belgian company TopCold and its French sister company Mondial Groupe France.
Based in Sint-Truiden, NV TopCold is an importer and distributor of cooling and freezing systems. It was founded in 1993 under the name Mondico NV, changing its name to TopCold in 2016.
Mondial was created in 1992 as the French subsidiary of the Italian commercial refrigeration manufacturer Mondial Framec. It was acquired by TopCold in 2020 and is based in Châbons, 40km north east of Grenoble.
“The addition of TopCold to the Tefcold Group will strengthen the group and help us serve both our customers and suppliers better, faster and more competitively going forward.” said Tefcold CEO Jesper Kirkeby Hansen. “We have known TopCold for many years, it is a great company with great employees and the acquisition is an important step in our growth strategy.”
TopCold will continue with its current management team.
