Update on EU ventilation unit regulations

BELGIUM: The European Ventilation Industry Association (EVIA) and the Eurovent Association have released a new FAQ on ecodesign and energy labelling requirements for ventilation units.

The document aims to provide answers to the many questions the market still has concerning EU Regulations 1253/2014 and 1254/2014 to ensure their proper implementation.

Building on two earlier versions of the FAQ, this latest document is the result of an intensive work carried out by EVIA and Eurovent members based on their experience with other market participants, such as their customers (designers, installers, architects).

As a result, it reflects the views of a majority of manufacturers of ventilation units as well as other market participants in Europe and the Middle East and Europe’s leading national sector associations.

This document is addressed to the industry, but also the European Commission, EU Member States, enforcement bodies and others stakeholders who need to be informed of the provisions of these regulations.
