Video competition includes youth best practice

BELGIUM: The Women in Cooling video competition will now include a category for youth best practice.

Organised by AREA, in partnership with World Refrigeration Day, the competition was first launched in 2023 to celebrate best practices of women in the refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump sector.

The 2026 edition now includes a RACHP Youth Best Practice category for individuals under 25. This is in addition to the existing Women in Cooling category for women of any age.

Entrants are invited to create a video of up to 10 minutes duration clearly explaining and demonstrating a chosen activity.

Winners in each category will receive €1,000 cheque from World Refrigeration Day, a commemorative trophy, and travel/accommodation to attend the AREA general assembly in Madrid in May 2026. Second and third place runners-up will receive commemorative trophies.

The deadline for entries is midnight on Sunday, 26 April 2026.
