Westfalen strengthens heat pump position

GERMANY: Münster-based liquified gas supplier Westfalen is strengthening its presence in the heat pump sector by acquiring a 49% stake in FKT Fernwärme- und Kesseltechnik GmbH.

In 2023, Westfalen acquired a majority stake in Gladbeck-based heat pump contractor NGC Tec. This new investment is expected to further expand the NGC Tec business with additional capacity and expertise.

FKT is headquartered in Oberhausen and specialises in plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and renewable energies. Its particular focus is on building technology, especially for heat pumps and district heating.

“The FKT team has over 20 years of expertise in heat pumps, district heating and residential construction – these are precisely the areas in which we want to further strengthen and expand our market position,” said NGC Tec MD Dirk Bücker.
