Whitepaper update on legionella

UK: Compliance, technical, and safety training provider Develop Training Ltd (DTL) has updated its whitepaper on controlling legionella risks.

The free-to-download publication, Controlling Legionella: Training and compliance for air conditioning and water systems maintenance, looks at the causes of legionnaires’ disease, how artificial water systems allow bacteria to thrive, strategies to prevent legionella in air conditioning and water systems, spas and pools.

The whitepaper has been updated to reflect recent guidance published by the HSE.

Maintenance training is considered essential to control legionella and other water-borne hazards in

air conditioning and water systems. With many workplaces and public spaces potentially at risk, DTL says it is crucial that facilities managers are aware of the dangers and have effective processes and training programmes in place to mitigate them.
