Advantage Trane with City heat pump

BELGIUM: The City Advantage is a new Trane range of compact scroll water-cooled chillers and water-source heat pumps with lower GWP refrigerant R454B refrigerant.

The City Advantage models expand the Trane City portfolio of compact products designed to provide all year-round cooling and/or heating with a reduced footprint to fit small commercial buildings, industrial facilities and processes.

Said to offer the highest seasonal efficiency values, the City Advantage water-to-water heat pump units offer an efficient alternative for gas or oil fuelled boilers and compatibility with geothermal applications. Thanks to the R454B refrigerant, the City Advantage offers leaving water temperatures of up to 65°C.

R454B is an A2L refrigerant blend of 68.9% R32 and 31.1% 1234yf. It has a GWP of 467. Its use with the City Advantage models provides 11% better SEER in cooling mode compared to equivalent R410A units and up to 5% better SCOP in pure heating mode.

Available in capacities of up to 700kW from a single unit, the City Advantage’s compact, modular design comes with new generation of controls technology with advanced algorithms, the Tracer Symbio 800 controller.

It provides chilled water temperatures between -7°C and +25°C and hot water temperatures up to +65°C. It is optimised for connection to HVAC systems based on air handling units, under floor heating, radiators or chilled beams.
