Alpha offers latest press-fit system

UK: Kent-based Alpha Wholesale HVAC Ltd now has stocks of the latest press-fit pipe technology from Conex Bänninger.

Previewed in Europe at the Chillventa show in October, and successfully launched across Australia and USA over the past 18 months, the >B< MaxiPro system is now available in the UK.

An alternative to traditional brazing, mechanical press-fit systems are designed to provide reliable copper joints in refrigeration and air conditioning systems without the requirement for hot works or nitrogen purges.

An established manufacturer of plumbing and HVAC fittings, Conex Bänninger’s >B< MaxiPro is described as an innovative press system that is quick and simple to install, providing a secure and permanent leak-free joint.

The >B< MaxiPro is based on three-point press technology – one on each side of the bead and one press compressing the O-ring. The HNBR O-ring has been specially formulated to operate in the temperature range of -40°C to 140°C. This patented technology combined with a special hook on each fitting is said to ensure a permanent and secure joint.  In addition, the Conex Bänninger system is based on press tools from established tool manufacturer Rothenberger.

MaxiPro can be used with hard, half hard or annealed copper tube conforming to EN 12735-1 or ASTM-B280, in both air conditioning and refrigeration applications and is approved for use with the following refrigerants: R1234yf, R1234ze, R32, R134a, R404A, R407C, R407F, R410A and R507.

Established in 1984, Alpha Wholesale started out as a HVAC engineering business but soon became aware of the amount of time and money wasted on ordering and collecting goods from several sources.

Offering next-day delivery, the company’s range of products includes copper tube and fittings, refrigerant, insulation, driers and sight glasses, fan motors, condensate pumps and a range of fixings, brackets and condenser trays.

The >B< MaxiPro is now in stock and available for delivery nationwide.
