Carrier adds rooftop on R454C

FRANCE: The WeatherFlex 50FC rooftop unit from Carrier is designed for use with lower GWP refrigerant R454C.

Designed for both new-build and retrofit projects, the WeatherFlex 50FC features factory-programmed controls for simplified installation alongside configurable options including free cooling, heat recovery, variable ventilation and extended airflow.

R454C is an A2L refrigerant with a GWP of 148.

Variable-speed scroll compressors and an optimised system design are said to improve seasonal efficiency, helping customers reduce energy consumption while supporting reliable operation from -18°C to 50°C.

Integrated smart controls, multi-zone management, energy metering and connectivity through Carrier’s Abound HVAC platform also give building operators greater visibility of system performance to support more informed operational decisions.
