Carrier offers AquaEdge 19XR with R1234ze

UK: Carrier has upgraded its AquaEdge 19XR two-stage centrifugal chiller range to include a new R1234ze refrigerant version.
Designed for industrial customers with energy-intensive cooling needs, the upgraded 19XR helps reduce cooling-related energy use with efficiency of up to COP 6.6 and IPLV 11.
Its two-stage technology is said to deliver up to 15% higher efficiency in high-lift conditions compared with traditional single-stage designs. A the same time, its capacity of up to 10 MW and operating range from -6°C to +45°C support demanding industrial process-cooling applications.
The 19XR’s semi-hermetic design is engineered to support long-term operation in complex industrial settings. Its optimised architecture has 54% fewer aerodynamic parts than conventional single-stage chillers, reducing maintenance complexity while enabling a compact footprint and low-noise operation.
First introduced in 2014, the AquaEdge 19XR is also available in R513A and R515B versions.
