Clivet rooftops using R454C

ITALY: Clivet has introduced a new generation of rooftop air-conditioning units using the lower GWP A2L refrigerant R454C.

Featuring Clivet’s patented REVO thermodynamic recovery system, the new SmartPack 3 offers an extended operating range down to -20°C and an average SEER of 4.60 and SCOP of 3.72, respectively.

The REVO (Recovery EVOlution) system harnesses the energy from the exhaust air directly within the direct expansion circuit, REVO increases the unit’s heating and cooling capacity without requiring an auxiliary refrigeration circuit.

Available in capacities from 25.3kW to 42.4KW, air flow rates are from 3200m³/h to 12000m³/h, SmartPack 3 employs full Inverter technology and brushless EC plug-fan motors in an all-in-one plug and play monobloc solution.

The series benefits from standardised options aligned with the rest of the Clivet rooftop range. This means that within the same building or system, standard units or units of different sizes can be configured using the same control logic and the same choice of accessories, enabling unified management, monitoring and maintenance.

Product manager Lorenzo Cristiani explained: “Let’s consider the practical example of a shopping centre or a showroom with spaces serving different purposes: the shop will manage air renewal based on CO₂/VOC sensors for peak occupancy levels; the checkout area or kitchen will adopt the setup for forced extraction; and areas with high latent load will use free hot-gas post-heating for dehumidification. A single IntelliAir controller or the Clivet Eye app itself will manage all these requirements 24 hours a day without compelling the technician to learn different protocols or logic for each series.

Smart Pack 3 has been designed to provide a seamless retrofit with the previous CKN-XHE2i series by retaining the same ductwork configurations and characteristic compact dimensions.
