Concealed floor stander added to VRV 5 range

BELGIUM: Daikin Europe has added a concealed floor standing unit to its VRV 5 R32 heat pump range.
The new unit incorporates Daikin’s advanced Shîrudo technology. This tackles the IEC60335-2-40 requirements concerning the flammability of R32 by integrating a leak detection sensor in every unit, a visual and audible alarm in the Madoka controller and shut-off values in the outdoor unit or SV box.
A key enhancement to the floor standing models is said to be the adoption of an integral airflow circulation principle, which delivers an installation versatility comparable to wall-mounted and cassette units.
Daikin maintains that their new solution is the first to address the traditional room size limitations of floor standing models that use R32 refrigerant.
Optimised for the R32, the new unit boasts a high external static pressure of up to 55Pa, allowing discreet integration with only the suction and discharge grilles visible.
The unit’s compact design, with a depth of only 200mm and a low height of 620mm, means it fits beneath windows. Depending on the use, the unit can be mounted to the wall or use the delivered installation feet.
