Daikin extends R32 scroll chiller range

BELGIUM: Daikin has extended its air-cooled R32 scroll chiller range from 704kW up to 1010kW.

This second generation of R32 cooling-only chillers is said to deliver high full- and part-load efficiencies within a more compact footprint.

New features include a new Daikin fan with a design that is said to increase air flow and offer a low sound solution with higher efficiency. A full metallic compressor enclosure with soundproof insulation protects the compressor while reducing sound by up to 4dB. The latest range also provides a rapid restart feature, integrated sequencing capability and performance monitoring – options previously available only on screw units.

Units are available in two efficiency versions, each in two sound configurations to offer maximum flexibility in operation. Operating temperatures are from -12°C up to 30°C

The new series is now available in both standard cooling only version (EWAT-B-C) and hydronic free cooling version (EWFT-B-C).

EERs are up to 3.3 and SEERs reach 5.5.
