Daikin NEXIO Max rooftop heat pump on R32

USA: Daikin Comfort Technologies North America has launched the Daikin NEXIO Max packaged heat pump, an inverter-driven rooftop unit using R32 refrigerant.

Designed for both retrofit and new construction applications, the NEXIO Max is said to combine inverter-driven performance, cold-climate heating capability and advanced controls.

The system claims an IEER cooling efficiency up to 22 and operates at outdoor ambient temperatures down to -13°F (-25ºC) while providing 85% of rated heating capacity at 14°F (-10ºC).

The unit offers standard single-zone VAV functionality, native BACnet integration and configurable options such as multi-zone VAV and hot gas reheat, making it suitable for a wide range of light commercial applications.

NEXIO Max is designed to help simplify replacement projects by aligning with common rooftop unit footprints without requiring a curb adapter.

Factory-wired and labelled connections help streamline startup and commissioning, while an open-access cabinet design provides convenient access to key components for service and maintenance.
