High temp industrial heat pump uses R1234ze

SPAIN: Keyter’s new Arion eco KZTB high-temperature water-to-water heat pump uses low GWP refrigerant R1234ze.
Specifically developed for industrial applications requiring hot water production of up to 87°C, the new range covers capacities from 584kW to 2,200kW.
While waste heat has become a strategic priority for industries moving towards low-carbon heating, maintaining high efficiency when operating under large temperature lifts remains one of the main technical challenges.
The Arion eco KZTB has been engineered to overcome this challenge.
It features dual inverter-driven Bitzer screw compressors, two independent refrigeration circuits and an innovative series of shell-and-tube condenser arrangement with integrated subcoolers. Keyter says that this configuration enables the unit to maintain high COP values even under demanding operating conditions involving large temperature differences between heat source and heat sink.
The design is also said to reduce hydraulic flow requirements, pumping energy consumption and overall installation costs.
