Inverter-driven water-cooled chillers

JAPAN: Carrier Japan has begun accepting orders for new inverter-driven water-cooled chillers and heat recovery water-cooled chillers, based on the technology used in its Universal Smart X (USX) series.

Similar to the company’s modular chiller USX FIT, it is equipped with an inverter DC triple rotary compressor compatible with R32 refrigerant.

By adopting a triple rotary compressor, energy saving and a capacity increase of up to 50hp are achieved at once. Covering a wide capacity range from 1 module (30hp) to 16 module connections (800hp), it can be used in a wide variety of applications. It is said to be ideal not only for replacing old chiller units but also for renewals such as replacing absorption chillers and turbo chillers.

The chilled water temperature range has been expanded to 3°C to 30°C, making it possible to use it in a wide range of applications in manufacturing sites.

Risk diversification is achieved by subdividing the refrigeration cycle. In the event of trouble, the module can be disconnected and the compressor can be replaced individually.

By subscribing to Abound HVAC Performance, safe operation is possible with 24/7 remote monitoring. Refrigerant leaks are automatically detected and notified to the user administrator via email, allowing for early detection of refrigerant leaks.
