Nibe unveils new R290 heat pump

SWEDEN: NIBE has announced a new air-to-water heat pump, built around an advanced R290 refrigerant circuit, providing high flow temperatures that suit both low temperature systems and radiator retrofits.
The S2060, available in 6kW and 10kW versions, is said to be the first model in a new family of compact R290 heat pumps, with additional outputs due to be introduced later this year.
The two new units weigh 84kg and 91kg and offer SCOPs of up to 5.33. The S2060 operates down to -25°C, and provides flow temperatures of up to 75°C.
With a total footprint of just 3.65m², the heat pump is said to be particularly well suited to properties where outdoor space is at a premium.
