BESA offers online health and safety test

UK: The BESA Academy has introduced a fully-online health, safety and environment test for building services personnel to meet SKILLcard requirements for safe site working.

To obtain a gold or black SKILLcard, candidates must pass a recognised health and safety test. BESA’s new option allows this to be completed 100% online, removing the need to attend a test centre, while maintaining high standards through remote proctoring.

“The ability to demonstrate individual competence is no longer optional – it’s a legal and moral obligation,” said Helen Yeulet, director of competence and compliance at BESA.

“This test provides a straightforward, accessible way for managers and supervisors to show they meet the standards expected under new legislation and the wider industry drive for safer buildings.”

The test is tailored to those working in HVACR and covers essential health, safety, and environmental awareness in line with SKILLcard criteria.

The test duration is 45 minutes and costs £24.00+VAT.

For more information or to take the test, visit BESA Academy.
