A-Gas named as top employer

UK: Refrigerant supplier, recycler and reclaimer A-Gas has been named Employer of the Year at the Amazon Scale-Up Awards 2020.

Hosted by Business Leader magazine and Amazon, the awards look to recognise and celebrate businesses from across the UK that demonstrate best in class business performance in various categories. Over 400 companies from across the country entered the awards.

The Employer of the Year category recognises organisations with exceptional employee satisfaction and a commitment to employee welfare.

“This award is a credit to the incredible team we have worldwide and the frameworks that are in place across our business,” commented Ian Podmore, regional managing director EMEA and Asia Pacific.”

The winning companies were originally due to be announced at a dinner at the London Hilton on Park Lane in March, but this was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This prompted the organisers to agree to announce the winners virtually and then celebrate them at a dinner in early 2021.
