Adiabatic cooler wins EMA product award

UK: Weatherite Air Conditioning has won the Energy Product category at this year’s Energy Managers’ Association awards for its data centre direct adiabatic cooling unit.

Weatherite’s range of direct adiabatic cooling units are said to incorporate a proven, tried and tested adiabatic system, producing a significant temperature drop-in excess of 10ºC during peak summer temperatures.

Direct outside air cooling, with adiabatic supplementary cooling, can negate the need for mechanical refrigeration – reducing capital expenditure even further and lowering running and maintenance costs.

The EMA Awards were launched in 2015 with the aim to recognise and celebrate outstanding work in the energy management and sustainability industry.

This year’s winners were announced on Wednesday during this week’s EMEX 2019 exhibition at ExCel in London.
