Aspen buys tube straightener firm Kwix

UK: Aspen Pumps has acquired Kwix UK Ltd, the Preston-based manufacturer of the Kwix tube straightener.

Incorporated in 2012, the patented hand-held Kwix tool enables coils of tubing and piping to be easily and accurately straightened. It is currently distributed by Aspen subsidiary Javac.

The tool will straighten all types of light wall coiled tubing such as copper, aluminium, stainless steel, brass and various others such as RF/Microwave cabling.

Kwix is the latest in a succession of Aspen Pumps’ acquisitions since its purchase by private equity partners Inflexion in 2019. These include the acquisitions of Australian HVACR component manufacturer Sky Refrigeration in 2020 and Malaysian-based aluminium and metal-based air conditioning component manufacturer LNE and Italian air conditioning bracket manufacturer 2 Emme Clima Srl last year.
