Blue Diamond donates pumps

UK: Blue Diamond Pumps has donated a mix of condensate pumps for the refrigeration and air conditioning students at Eastleigh College.

The pumps included a mix of MicroBlue, MiniBlue, MaxiBlue and MegaBlue units to match the air conditioning units installed in each of the college’s training rooms.

“As the items become used in class we’ve also agreed to continue supporting the college for the next couple of years with renewed product to ensure the students are getting the most realistic and hands-on experience,” said Blue Diamond’s Andy Green.

The company says it is rolling a similar programme out nationally across all the colleges.

“We feel it’s important that engineers of the future understand that condensate removal doesn’t have to be a complex, or an avoided issue,” said Andy Green. “With the correct knowledge and training they can very easily grasp the fundamentals and best practices of how to specify the correct pump for each individual installation.”

Shaun Creech, lecturer in refrigeration and air Conditioning commented: “We’re very grateful for the support from leading suppliers in the industry which supports us in maintaining high-quality training to our students to produce the very best engineers. The equipment our students use is second to none and will give them the best possible start in their careers.”
