Carter signs North American partnership

UK/USA: Birmingham-based Carter Thermal Industries has appointed LSI Industries Inc as exclusive partner throughout the United States and Canada for its refrigerated display and store solutions.

Headquartered in Cincinnati, LSI manufactures advanced lighting, graphics and display solutions. The partnership with Carter Thermal Industries represents LSI’s formal expansion into remote refrigeration, which contrasts with LSI’s existing offering of primarily self-contained refrigeration systems.

Under the Partnership, LSI will market, manufacture, sell, and support refrigeration systems designed by Carter. LSI says it intends to produce co-branded remote refrigeration units across its existing North American manufacturing footprint, providing scalable production capabilities, competitive manufacturing lead times, and enhanced flexibility to support customer rollout requirements.

LSI also provides comprehensive project management services in support of large-scale product rollouts. The company employs approximately 3,000 people at 23 manufacturing plants in the US and Canada.

The collaboration will initially focus on selected refrigerated multideck, frozen food, serve-over and specialty display formats designed to support evolving retailer requirements for energy performance, merchandising flexibility and environmental compliance.

“We believe the combination of Carter’s refrigeration expertise and LSI’s strong market presence creates a compelling platform for future growth within North America,” said Carter Retail Equipment MD Martin Le-Roy.

Founded in 1945, Carter Thermal Industries has been at the forefront of refrigerated retail innovation for more than 80 years and has played a key role in the development of modern refrigerated merchandising solutions throughout the UK retail sector.

Today, the wider CTI Group operates across refrigerated retail equipment, refrigeration systems, engineering services, manufacturing and sustainable technology solutions, supporting customers across retail, commercial and industrial markets both within the UK and internationally.
