Celebrating the win are the Epta team of (l to r) Nigel Manning, Mark Malone, Andy McEnhill, Chris Sunderland and Laura Barker

UK: Commercial refrigeration equipment manufacturer Epta UK has received the Co-op’s Direct Supplier of the Year award for the third consecutive year.

This is the fourth time that Epta UK has been named Direct Supplier of the Year in the Co-op Construction Awards, which are held each year to celebrate the teamwork and achievements of Co-op’s partners and suppliers on the store construction side of the business. Epta also received a nomination for the Innovation of the Year award.

Epta UK were recognised for the effort and professionalism delivered in not letting troubles affect the Co-op or their trade during a very challenging year. Epta UK provide the design, build and installation for a range of cabinets for The Co-op, including the Granvista Next chilled and GranBering frozen cabinets.

The nomination for the Innovation of the Year award was given for the overall programme delivered by Epta UK, including their contribution to the design and development of the EC Plus stores and its roll-in-milk case with doors.

“To retain the award for Direct Supplier of the Year is a huge achievement. I couldn’t be more pleased and proud of the Team who clearly delivered a level of service and attention to detail, sometimes during challenging circumstances, to support the Co-op in their impressive growth and continued success,” said Epta UK commercial director Geoff Mills.
