FETA lunch cancelled

UK: The 2020 FETA lunch, already postponed from April to December, has now been officially cancelled.

The hugely popular annual FETA (Federation of Environmental Trade Associations) lunch, traditionally held at The Brewery, London, is the latest event to succumb to the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic.

The lunch had already been postponed from its usual April date to December 10. In an announcement today, FETA conceded that even though the event was still some two months away, it was highly unlikely that large gatherings in such a setting would be permitted even by then.

As a result, the 2020 event has now been cancelled. The next FETA lunch is now scheduled to take place on April 15, 2021.

“Clearly these are difficult times for all but especially for the hospitality industry and we have appreciated the support shown from The Brewery during our negotiations with them. Likewise, our guest speaker Kevin Keegan has been most supportive in showing his willingness to adapt to our need to make programme changes. We look forward to what will hopefully be a very enjoyable and successful luncheon in 2021,” said FETA chief executive Russell Beattie.
