Flint joins Coolair as commercial director

Deane Flint joins Coolair Equipment as commercial director

UK: Deane Flint, former president of Mitsubishi Electric’s UK & Ireland air conditioning and heat pump business, has joined contractor Coolair Equipment as commercial director.

In a separate move, Coolair MD Neil Gibbard has left the Cheshire-based company, with chairman John Otterson taking over his role.

Flint, who left Mitsubishi Electric in January of this year after 20 years with the company, now joins the board of Coolair Equipment – a Mitsubishi Electric Business Solutions Partner. He will be responsible for delivering and implementing a new nationwide sales programme.

“We have worked alongside Deane for over 20-years. His skills, network and knowledge of the industry are vast, and his vision aligns exactly with Coolair Equipment Limited’s future plans,” commented John Otterson.

Flint spent over two decades at Mitsubishi Electric, joining as regional sales manager and rising to become the first non-Japanese president of the UK & Ireland Branch. He started his career in the HVAC industry in 1981, as a trainee building services design engineer and draughtsman for the Property Services Agency.

Commenting on his role at Coolair, Deane Flint said: “We both recognise the UK market is going to change dramatically over the next decade and we have already developed a shared strategy to grow Coolair Equipment Limited’s market share in new sectors while consolidating its core activities.”

Meanwhile, former MD Neil Gibbard, who spent 20 years at Coolair, has left to form his own company, Gibair Ltd Heating & Cooling Solutions.
