Foster supports UK team at top chef contest

UK: Foster Refrigerator is supporting the UK team at this month’s Bocuse d’Or, the world’s largest and most prestigious chef contest.

Team UK, represented by Ian Musgrave and commis chef Adam Beaumont, both of the Ritz London, will compete against 23 other countries in the competition in Lyon from 22 to 23 January.

They, along with team coach Tom Phillips, the previous candidate and head chef at London’s Restaurant Story, have spent every spare moment at a purpose-built test kitchen in Westminster Kingsway College. The kitchen is equipped with Foster’s EcoPro G3 cabinet and counter refrigeration solutions, provided by Foster as a key team supporter.

The team will now be taking much of the purpose-built kitchen with them to the competition, which is held in front of a live audience as part of the Sirha trade event.

“As Team UK we want to showcase the best of British – that’s from the produce, the concept design of our dishes to the refrigeration,” said Ian Musgrave. “Temperature control, reliability, durability, and quality are key to what we do and so working with British manufacturer like Foster Refrigerator was an absolute no brainer for us – we need to produce the best, so we must work with the best.”
