Gill heads ASHRAE refrigeration committee

UK/USA: Steve Gill, past president of the IoR and founder of World Refrigeration Day, has been made chair of ASHRAE’s Refrigeration Technology Committee for Comfort, Process, and Cold Chain.

The committee encourages the advancement of refrigeration technology and its application. It reports to ASHRAE’s Technology Council. 

Gill has been a member of ASHRAE since 2000, and is a past-president of ASHRAE’s UK Midland Chapter. In January 2019, ASHRAE awarded Gill its John F James International Award in Atlanta.

He takes over from Yunho Hwang, ASHRAE Fellow and research professor at the University of Maryland’s Center for Environmental Energy Engineering.
