IoR announces plans for World Refrigeration Day
30th May 2023UK: The Institute of Refrigeration will celebrate this year’s World Refrigeration Day on June 26 with a series of webinars promoting STEM apprenticeships and careers.
Taking up the theme of #NextGenCooling, the IoR is looking to the future with members sharing stories about their careers in cooling and interviews with previous IoR and RAC Cooling Awards Students of the Year.
Throughout the day the IoR will also be posting short videos to its social media channels and sharing some simple and fun science experiments to inspire the next generation.
While looking to the future, the past won’t be forgotten. Physicist and tv broadcaster Helen Czerski will look at what can be learned from the achievements of the past and there will also be a couple of technical talks related to energy efficiency.
