IoR increases STEM support

UK: The Institute of Refrigeration has upgraded its Stemazing partnership for 2023 to support and champion more women to join the Stemazing Inspiration Academy.

“There was so much interest in our first call for female STEM ambassadors training to promote careers in schools that the IoR president’s fund has decided to support another three members to join the Stemazing Inspiration Academy,” said IoR president Graeme Fox.

The IoR first got involved last year, promoting three female members to a place at Stemazing’s training academy which will prepare them to present engaging interactive activities aimed at 7-9-year-olds. Stemazing is dedicated to raising the profile of STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.

Alexandra Knight, founder and CEO of Stemazing, said of the IoR’s increased involvement: “This demonstrates to me how committed the IoR is as a professional body to supporting and empowering female talent in their network whilst championing positive change around diversity and inclusion in the future of their industries.”
