IoR rewards individual achievement

UK: Nausheen Basha, a university researcher, and Kevin Gregory, an influential long-serving engineer, have been named as winners in this year’s Institute of Refrigeration Awards.

Kevin Gregory, contracts manager at Kent-based air conditioning and refrigeration contractor Kinlochs and Son, won the Service Engineer Lifetime Achievement Award, and Nausheen Basha of City London University was awarded the annual Ted Perry Award for student research.

After a career in the Royal Navy, seeing service in the Falklands, Kevin Gregory moved through LEC training, and other businesses to settle at Kinlochs in 2009.

Supported by Indian compressor manufacturer Kirloskar, Nausheen Basha has worked on a six-year long, ongoing project on the development of oil flooded screw compressors and co-published the paper Development of Screw Compressor by Improving Oil Injection System.
