IoR seeks board nominations

The IoR is looking for member nominations to join its board of trustees to fill the two places which become vacant in November. The current IoR board of trustees is pictured at a recent meeting

UK: The Institute of Refrigeration is looking for volunteer members to join its board of trustees.

The trustees are responsible for the governance of the IoR, influencing its direction and strategy. They are responsible to the membership and to the Charity Commission for the Institute’s effective operation.

The IoR is looking for volunteers who are passionate about the issues the industry is facing in terms of education and training standards, clarity of interpretation of standards and legislation, changing refrigerants and technical advancements. it is particularly keen to hear from younger members, such as those at technician or associate member grade and anyone who has an interest in financial management.

The board meets three times a year for a half day at a meeting chaired by the president.
