IoR to discuss F-gas revisions

UK: The Institute of Refrigeration is to host a free webinar on the recently published revisions to the European F-gas regulations by UK expert Ray Gluckman.

The proposal includes many changes from the current regulation including a significant acceleration to the HFC phase-down process and a number of new product bans.

Defra, the UK government department responsible, is still considering revisions to the UK’s version of the regulation but has previously indicated that it will at least mirror the European regulation.

This presentation provides a detailed review of the proposed changes to the Regulation and also outlines the next steps in the revision process.

It is expected that the EU will agree the revised Regulation next year and come into force in January 2024.

Ray Gluckman, a fellow of the IoR and former president, is an experienced consultant with over 30 years of experience in refrigeration, energy efficiency and climate change. He is a leading authority on reducing f-gas emissions and has carried out a wide variety of climate change policy and compliance projects for government departments.
