JTL acquires Develop Training

UK: Kent-based training provider JTL has acquired Develop Training, a leading provider of compliance, technical, and safety training.

Established for 50 years, Develop Training provides professional short courses, specialising in utilities and energy, construction, defence, healthcare, facilities management and telecommunications and has seven dedicated training centres in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

JTL sees the acquisition enabling both companies to better serve the sector, giving an opportunity for both to expand their offering and extend their national coverage. It will enable JTL to expand its short course provision beyond apprenticeships, whilst Develop Training can grow their current apprenticeship programmes through JTL’s support.

Both organisations will continue to operate under their current trading names.

Established in 1990, JTL is a leading work-based learning provider in the building services engineering sector across England and Wales. It currently works with over 8,000 learners and 3,700 employers across England and Wales in more than 100 locations, including 12 dedicated JTL training centres.
