Kooltech appoints sustainability head

UK: Air conditioning and refrigeration distributor Kooltech has appointed a head of sustainability as the company develops its range of low carbon heating solutions.

The new appointee, Scott Mason, who became the youngest chair of CIBSE Patrons in July 2021, joins Kooltech from renewable energy consultancy Mesh Energy. He previously worked at commercial heat pump manufacturers Lochvinar and Adveco.

Mason’s appointment is said to demonstrate Kooltech’s aim of expanding its recruitment and retention of the next generation of sustainable built environment professionals.

“Scott joins us at an incredibly exciting time,” said Kooltech commercial director. “Kooltech is experiencing strong growth and reaching new customers from across the sector and the UK. Scott’s appointment reflects Kooltech’s desire and ambition to become the go-to provider of sustainable heating and cooling solutions across the built environment.”

A Mitsubishi Electric distributor, Kooltech operates across the UK. It is set to open a new branch in Bar Hill near Cambridge, creating several new jobs in the area.
