Leak detector auction raises £410

UK: Paul Pepper of Newcastle-based KRP Cooling Solutions is now in possession of a Bosch leak detector after his successful auction bid helped raise £410 for charity.

The auction was the brainchild of Stewart Hoare, a director at Hampshire-based Cool Training Ltd, who was diagnosed with kidney cancer last year. Following a successful operation, he sought to raise money for Kidney Cancer UK.

Luke Parry, area sales manager of DiversiTech International, stepped in with the offer of a Bosch CS LD 1.0 leak detectors for auction.

With the assistance of Karen Holloway, DiversiTech’s creative marketing manager and the approval of Richard Jones, one of the admin for the Refrigeration Engineers UK Facebook page, the subsequent auction received a winning bid of £360 from Paul Pepper. Cool Training Ltd added a further £50 to the bid.
