Logicool leads the winners at ACR News Awards

UK: Air-conditioning distributor Logicool was the big winner at the ACR News Awards 2020 – the Derbyshire-based company receiving two awards as well as a personal accolade for MD Karl Richardson.

The awards, announced online this year due to the coronavirus, saw Karl Richardson receiving the Alan Moor Award as the industry’s “unsung hero”. Richardson formed Logicool in 2008 and has most recently been involved in efforts to fight illegal traders while raising the profile of the industry. In 2019, he was behind an initiative which led to the creation of Refcom Elite, a voluntary scheme to promote best practice in refrigerant management. 

The Refcom Elite scheme brought further recognition for Logicool, sharing the Industry Initiative of the Year Award with Refcom. To complete the hat-trick, Logicool was voted the winner of the prestigious Wholesaler/Distributor of the Year Award.
