March date for breakfast talk

UK: A varied programme of talks is promised at the next Hampshire Refrigeration Society Technical Breakfast Briefing.

This next early morning meeting will include talks on the the ever-changing refrigerant situation, press-fit fittings and the benefits of using original manufacturers’ spare parts.

Introducing the event, which commences at 08.30 on March 6, John Emm will describe the work of the Institute of Refrigeration and how you can benefit from membership.

Dennis Jones of BOC Gases will provide an update on the ever changing refrigerant situation including GWP values of HFC refrigerants, high GWP use restrictions, GWP values of new HFO refrigerants, TEWI, gas applications, flammability and availability.

In a talk entitled The Press Revolution, Zoheb Khamker, regional sales manager OEM & ACR at Conex Bänninger, will discuss the use of flame free press-fit fittings.

Finally, Kevin Glass, MD of Bitzer UK will be weighing up the differences and the benefits of original products compared to “copy-cat” parts.

The venue for the meeting is the HRP Fareham branch, Unit 2, The IO Centre, Stephenson Road, PO15 5RU.

As previously stated, the event starts at 08:30am with tea and bacon roll on arrival.
