UK: Mike Smith – made an honorary member of BSRIA just a few days ago – has received further acclaim by picking up the ACR News Alan Moor Award.
BSRIA’s engineering director received his latest honour in front of 250 guests at last night’s ACR News Awards ceremony at London’s Tower Hotel.
The award, presented in memory of the former managing director of Bitzer UK, celebrates the contributions to the industry of an individual whose efforts have largely gone unrecognised.
Star of the night was the the Althermo DMR-H dry cooler, picking up the Air Conditioning Product of the Year award for distributor Klima-Therm. This hybrid adiabatic cooler was a winner at the National ACR & Heat Pump Awards in January, and highly commended at the last Cooling Industry Awards.
The Refrigeration Product of the Year went to Bitzer for its ACP ammonia compressor packs, a product range which was recently extended to offer capacities up to 3,600kW.
