Nominations sought for IoR board roles

UK: The Institute of Refrigeration is seeking nominations for a new president-elect to support current president Kevin Glass, as well as two members to join its board of trustees.

The nine-member board of trustees is responsible for the governance of the institute, its direction and strategy.

Each year two existing members step down and two new members elected. The IoR Board meets three/four times a year to discuss strategic issues and priorities.

Those wishing to stand for election as a trustee will need to provide a short statement, a photo and details of two members who support their nomination. The deadline for applications is August 1, 2019.  If there are more than two nominations, a web-based election will be conducted in October.

President-elect

Nominations are also sought for the role of president-elect. The successful candidate will support current president, Kevin Glass, during the final year of his presidency.

The board of trustees is responsible for nominating candidates, and is now starting to consider potential nominees, but members can also nominate additional candidates.

Further information about the process and responsibilities of the trustees and president-elect can be found here.
