Open up for World Refrigeration Day

UK: The Institute of Refrigeration is encouraging businesses within the air conditioning and refrigeration industry to open their doors to the local community on this year’s World Refrigeration Day. 

The IoR is encouraging businesses across the whole spectrum of the cooling industry to work together to raise the profile of the sector and to promote the benefits or RACHP by opening up their manufacturing, cold stores, supermarkets or service premises to the public on June 26.    

To support businesses taking part, the IoR will be providing resources such as videos, games, presentations, H&S templates and promotional material for its Open For Cooling campaign. The IoR will also promote planned events on social media and on its www.ior.org.uk/openforcooling website page.

These events are designed to give the public the chance to see the wide variety of career options and great value to everyday life that our sector offers.

All businesses can take part – all you need to do is to decide who you want to invite into your premises, plan how you are going to entertain them with tours, talks or fun events and download a resource pack from the IoR with posters, information sheets, video and careers information.
