Rapid finish for A-Gas cart in Soapbox Derby

UK: A cart themed on an A-Gas Rapid Recovery unit achieved a creditable 11th place in this year’s Portishead Soapbox Derby, and helped raise over £20,000 for charity.
Designed by a team of engineers from the Portishead-based refrigerant specialists, the A-Gas cart was driven by one of the company’s process engineers, Sam Pearce. He steered the cart to a creditable 11th place finish out of 40 entrants.
The event on July 14, attended by an estimated crowd of over 10,000, raised over £20,000 for St Peter’s Hospice in Bristol, which provides palliative care for adults with life-limiting illnesses.
