Roger Smith joins REFCOM

UK: F-gas certification body REFCOM has appointed Roger Smith as its new certification assessor for the REFCOM, REFCOM Elite and REFCOM Elite Supplier schemes.

Smith has spent over 40 years in the refrigeration industry, working in installation, servicing and maintenance across a number of sectors at such well-known companies as Linde, Grenco and J&E Hall. He also spent more than a decade as a technical advisor and training manager on F-gas regulations and refrigerant handling at HRP and A-Gas.

“Roger’s appointment adds additional depth to the technical guidance REFCOM will be able to offer and strengthens the REFCOM audit team,” said director of certification Rachel Davidson.

In his role at REFCOM, Roger will assess member businesses and ensure that their engineers are suitably qualified to carry out work with refrigerants. He will also provide advice, including answering technical queries.
